Upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 a while back. SES light came on, needed the scanner.

Messed with Hyper-V trying to get a virtual XP running, no problem. Warcraft 4 Full Game on this page. Getting USB port to recognize cable, problem.gave up. Came to this thread which I had bookmarked months ago, had the downloaded driver working in seconds with no virtual machine needed. I had to use the '2' driver, and it bluescreened at install, but after reboot all worked great.

Thank you OP!! Whats version driver you use on the ftdi? Ever since I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 it keeps bluescreen with a page fault.

So after installing xp I got it to work sort of but found out that I got errors and the hardware is faulty. I was getting errors. I read that you have to solder pin 7 and 8 together. This is correct, one must solder Pins 7 & 8 together inside of the module on the back of the OBD II connector. Remove 4 screws and open the case. Notice that there are two wires of the ribbon cable that are both on Pin 8, and no wires on Pin 7.

Pin 7 is a data pin not for the OBD, but is necessary data to get to the vehicle systems. Put a jumper from Pin 7 inside of the module to Pin 8, the module will then be able to communicate with the vehicle systems. I have not been able to get my copy of BMW Scanner to work in any OS other than Win XP Pro, SP3. I need some help here. I bought a PA Soft scanner on eBay not too long ago, and I'd like to use it on my E39.

Only problem is that the BMW Scanner 1.4 program says that the drivers are not installed. When I go to Device Manager, it shows the BMW scanner, but it has the yellow warning symbol. When I try to install drivers, both from the download in the OP and the ones that came on the disk, it shows that none can be found for that device. And, of course, it won't find anything through Windows update. If it makes any difference, I am using the adapter to the 21-pin diagnostic port under the hood (I have a 1999 528i). I am running Windows 10 64 bit on my HP laptop, and I also tried this on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Compaq laptop. Crvena Jabuka 2013 Novi Album Download.
